GAME HUB ((TOP))
Through this effort, and with support from partner organization ROC Game Dev, an organization of video game developers, artists, and enthusiasts dedicated to fostering a community of game creators, we host several events and partner with community organizations and local studios to raise the profile of game development in the Greater Rochester, including the Finger Lakes and Western New York.
By supporting the Swiss Game Hub you help us to organise and host lots of events, such as workshops, monthly play testing sessions, networking parties, game jams and more! The money we receive this way is also used to support our free mentorship program for new developers and to help educate the public about games.

A minigame where you are put in a hedge maze and attempt to run from Duo. The next stages include an office complex and an arcade. These stages are separated by elevators while Duo asks you an English word/sentence, and you have to translate it to Spanish.

As can be seen from the image above, multipliers are given depending on how many minigames you've played. If you play four minigames, you will earn a 2x multiplier, if you play 10 minigames, you will earn a 3x multiplier, and if you play all 25 minigames, you will earn a 4x multiplier. In order to earn Coins as fast as possible, we highly recommend playing all 25 minigames.
Luckily, you don't have to stay in these minigames long in order for it to count toward playing every minigame. In fact, you can leave immediately after joining by locating and stepping onto the hub portal pictured below. Each minigame that you join will have a variation of this portal somewhere inside of it.
As you enter and exit the minigames, you should notice the Coin counter at the top of your screen begin to automatically earn multipliers. Once you've entered and played every minigame in the arcade, meaning every minigame has a green Played sign above its picture, your counter should have a 4x multiplier.
Now, you're ready to start earning Coins! Unfortunately, as you may have noticed already, Coins earned within the fan-made minigames don't count toward your overall Duolingo Hub Game Coin count. Instead, Coins must be earned inside of the official Spanish or Vanish game. To play this game, leave the arcade and head toward the game's entrance pictured below.
In order to beat this minigame, players will need to explore three unique mazes, collect a variety of items and Coins, avoid the patrolling Duolingo Owls, and make the great escape! The items that you need to collect in the level one maze are a bouquet of flowers, a plate of meatballs, and a candle. Unfortunately, this maze can be exceptionally confusing to maneuver throughout and doesn't offer an easy solution, so the best advice that we can give you is to look for the map pictured below and try your best to follow it!
Inside of this shop are all of the Duolingo-themed items that you can purchase with Robux or unlock with all of the Coins that you just earned! Don't worry if you don't have enough Coins to purchase both free items right away, you can go back and replay the Spanish or Vanish game at any time to earn more!
Getting the Duolingo Bodysuit and the Snapback Cap in the Duolingo Game Hub is easy, but will probably take a little bit of time. All you need to do is earn enough in-game currency (coins) to purchase them at the shop (pictured above).
All you have to do to get coins in the Duolingo Game Hub is play the game Spanish or Vanish. In that game you'll be told to find certain objects in the maze. Simply run around the maze, finding the objects but also finding as many coins as you can, all while avoiding the Duo Owls who will teleport you back to the start.
There are a host of features on the Battle hub floor. Check out regular and extreme battle cabinets to play against other players, or head over to the game center to enjoy some of Capcom's classic arcade games. You can also customize your avatar at the Hub Goods Shop, or enter tournaments via the Event Counter.
The Samsung Gaming Hub is now available for select Samsung TVs and monitors. It supports Xbox, GeForce Now, Stadia, and Utomik streaming services. Amazon Luna will soon be supported as well. Existing controllers can be used to play the games streamed through these apps.
Google Stadia, NVIDIA GeForce Now, Utomik, and Xbox Game Pass are the game streaming services currently supported by Samsung Gaming Hub. The company has confirmed that it will soon add support for Amazon Luna as well.
For Samsung, the availability of Xbox on the Gaming Hub is a major win. This is one of the most popular game streaming services. Users only require an Xbox Game Pass subscription to access more than 100 high-quality Xbox games.
The NVIDIA Shield controller, MOGA XP5-X Plus and the F710, F510, and F310 controllers from Logitech are supported by Gaming Hub. Users simply need to connect them to the TV via Bluetooth to start playing their favorite games.
I have a lot of friends who play video games. One of these friends started talking to me a while back about an audio-based game they were playing, and said it would be accessible to the visually impaired- read more about features that make an app accessible to the visually impaired here. I started doing some research into audio games and stumbled across Audio Game Hub, which had several different audio games for not only people who are blind, but also people with low vision. Here is my review of the Audio Game Hub app, from someone who rarely plays video games but was entertained for hours with this app.
Audio games are electronic games that use primarily auditory and tactile feedback, as opposed to visual feedback, making them accessible to visually impaired gamers. One of the primary technologies used in audio games is binaural recording, also known as 3D audio, which allows gamers to figure out the placement of an object by determining if the audio comes from the left, right, or center channel. Most audio games are played on PC, but over the years there has been an increase in the amount of audio games available on mobile platforms.
Audio Game Hub is a mobile app for iOS and Android that gives users access to 11 different audio games, including casino-style games, archery, bomb disarmer, and others. The games are designed to be played by people with various types of vision loss, from those who have low vision to those who have no usable vision or that are blind. The app download is free, but there are in-app purchases to unlock the full functionality of the app, including all of the games- I chose to do the lifetime unlock of the app for $23. Download Audio Game Hub for iOS on the App Store here, and for Android on the Google Play store here.
I tested this app using a 5th generation iPad with a 9.7 inch screen, as well as a Google Pixel 2 Android phone. I did not have VoiceOver or TalkBack enabled while testing the app- the developer recommends disabling these settings, since the game has a built in screen reader. Read more about accessibility settings for iPad here and Android phones here.
I tested this app with two sighted friends who were asking me about how blind people play video games. We used both the normal high contrast mode and the blindness mode, although they found it easier to use the high contrast mode. They found the 3D audio feature fascinating, and I noticed they mostly relied on the tactile feedback in order to play the different games, as opposed to listening to the audio like I was doing. 041b061a72
